At Casa Nobile, we are more than just a rental home, we are a true Italian experience. Built into the ancient city wall of Castelmuzio, Casa Nobile is perfectly situated in the tiny but charming Piazza San Bernardino, also called Piazza IV Novembre.
The allure of this palazzo signorile lies in its solid and reassuring embrace of its origins. The sweeping four story escape belongs to a certain Italian spirit, a Tuscan spirit. Traces of time are evident in the architecture and the perfection of its centuries old details.
Though most of the home has been renovated, the property retains a sense of grandeur, and guests can wander the village's cobbled alleyways to immerse themselves in the storied history of the region.
Azure hills frame the region, once inhabited by the Etruscans who moved throughout Tuscany. It was originally named Etruria, from the Etruscan 'e' for "of" and 'truria' meaning mind or brain. Thus, Tuscany is known as 'the land of the brain'.
Our Suites
Accommodation consists of five air-conditioned suites. Stanza Siena and Stanza Firenze are large suites with en-suite bathroom. Stanza Pienza is a smaller bedroom which can be used to sleep 1 or to use as a dressing/reading room. Stanza Montepulciano is on the top floor and has an en-suite bathroom which includes a free-standing bathtub (with handheld shower). The bathrooms are all very modern and stylish. Quality, luxury bedding and linens provided in all rooms.
Kitchen and Dining
The dining room and kitchen are on either side of a lovely working fireplace, and if you prefer to dine at home there are cookware and utensils at your disposal. There is a charming breakfast terrace just off the dining room for a leisurely morning cappuccino in the sun or an al fresco lunch or dinner outdoors.
Garden
In the rear of the house guests will find a large and meticulously planted garden which features Cypress, Fig, Pomegranate and various beautiful flowers. There is a refreshing plunge pool, along with lounge chairs on the main terrace where guests can bask under the Tuscan sun.
